loved this.

“The real problem of the Christian life comes where people do not usually look for it. It comes the very moment you wake up each morning. All your wishes and hopes for the day rush at you like wild animals. And the first job each morning consists simply in shoving them all back; in listening to that other voice, taking that other point of view, letting that other larger, stronger, quieter life come flowing in.”

C.S. Lewis, in Mere Christianity

as you can see lately, CS is really inspiring me. He takes the thoughts in my head and puts them into words that I could never muster so poetically.

oh Hannah. i'm so glad that we can share the love of good ol' CS Lewis. i, too, really enjoy how he can capture emotions in words and in a sequence that i could never artfully master. still, i try. (lol.) but, to tell you the truth, i was really quite surprised by how awesome the Chronicles of Narnia are when i read them last summer. nope, they are not just some dorky books by some dead guy. they are actually quite profound...
anyways, i should perhaps try to write on my own blog instead of blabbing along on yours...
