Homeland

I found this picture of my homeland on the net and it captivated me! Its funny to me how I have become such a city girl. But I realize that the time I really begin to breathe normally is when I escape to the island, or when we were in Kelowna for the Go Conference. I love the hugeness of the sky, the wideness of the landscape and the quietness in the air of small towns.
Its all so strangely tranquil. So calming and refreshing. Like that dive into a lake on a hot summer day. Lately I have been really despising the rain of Vancouver and missing the 4 feet of snow from back home. Whats gotten into me?
But then again, i love the hustle and bustle of the city, all the crazy people, the 100 different coffee shops. I love the modern art a city brings while I cherish the natural art that the small towns bring. Hmmm...i guess its like they say, the grass is always greener on the other side.

hey i know what you mean about missing the snow and hating the rain..that's how i feel lately...i'd much rather have blue skies with lots of snow than this rain any more.
